Our family has been the solution to logistics for the past three generations. Over 70 years of trucks on the road in America.

It started with a truck

Trucking is where my family started. Both of my grandfathers owned their own trucks. Two of my uncles started with my grandfather and a truck, and my father joined them when they went from over-the-road trucking to dump trucks.

That’s three generations and over 70 years of trucks on the road. I grew up around it, and it’s why trucking is part of everything JR Ramco does today. A truck connects the whole job. It moves the dirt, the stone, the equipment, and everything else that keeps a project going. Read our story.

Pickup and disposal: we know where to go

We pick up from the local quarries, asphalt (blacktop) plants, landscape suppliers, wholesale suppliers, and recycling centers in the area. When material has to leave your job, we know where to take concrete, asphalt, brick, block, and soil for recycling or proper disposal, and we work with NJDEP-approved Class B recycling centers.

What counts as Class B

Under New Jersey's recycling rules, Class B recyclable material includes source separated concrete, asphalt, brick, block, asphalt-based roofing scrap, wood waste, other non-metal construction and demolition material, trees and brush, scrap tires, and petroleum contaminated soil.

Source: N.J.A.C. 7:26A-1.3, Definitions

Approval comes first

No recycling center can receive, store, process, or transfer Class B material without prior written approval from NJDEP. A center running without it is treated as an unlicensed solid waste facility.

That's why it matters who hauls your concrete and asphalt recycling. We bring it to the right place.

Tri-axle and tandem trucking companies: what’s the difference?

When you call around to local trucking companies, the first question is usually what kind of truck you need. Here’s the plain version.

Tri-axle dump truckTwo rear axles plus a third (usually a lift axle)The workhorse for spoils, stone, millings, and site work. The extra axle spreads the weight

2.2 million drivers

Heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers held about 2.2 million U.S. jobs in 2025. Construction employed about 6% of them.

Overweight trucks tear up roads and get fined. We load to stay inside the law, and every driver runs a pre-trip inspection before the truck leaves the yard.

Dump truck for hire: frequently asked questions

Do you have dump trucks for hire near me in North Jersey?

Yes. JR Ramco LLC is based in Little Falls, NJ (Passaic County) and runs dump truck service across North Jersey and statewide. Call 973-317-4157 or fill out the form on this page with your job location and dates.

Do you have tri-axle dump trucks for hire?

Yes. We run tri-axle trucking under our own USDOT number, 6415867, for spoils, stone, millings, and restoration material.

What is the difference between a tandem and a tri-axle dump truck?

A tandem has two rear axles. A tri-axle adds a third axle, usually a lift axle, which spreads the weight across more axles. In New Jersey, how much a truck can legally carry depends on its axles and the spacing between them under N.J.S.A. 39:3-84. No truck can go over the 80,000-pound state maximum without a special permit.

What are the truck weight limits in New Jersey?

Under N.J.S.A. 39:3-84, a single axle is limited to 22,400 pounds, a tandem axle group (axles 40 to 96 inches apart) to 34,000 pounds, and any vehicle's total gross weight to 80,000 pounds, unless a special permit applies. We load to stay legal.

What do you haul?

If it goes in the back of a dump truck and you need it in bulk, we can bring it. Topsoil, fill, stone, DGA, QP, mulch, mason sand, Belgian block, hot mix asphalt, millings, recycled concrete, and spoils. We also haul salt and snow, and do on-site trucking and hired haul for road, highway, and night work.

Do you sell bulk road salt?

Yes. We have bulk road salt available, and snow plow contractors, property managers, and towns can buy direct from us. Call 973-317-4157 or use the form and tell us how much you need and where it's going.

Do you do screened topsoil delivery?

Yes. We deliver screened topsoil and premium screened topsoil by the truckload for landscapers, contractors, and homeowners across North Jersey.

Do you deliver NJDOT-approved RCA?

Yes. The RCA (recycled concrete aggregate) we sell is NJDOT-approved and can be used on any project. We deliver it for base, sub-base, driveways, and parking areas. Tell us the job and the amount on the form.

Do you do fill dirt delivery and removal?

Both. We bring in fill for backfill and grading, and we haul excess fill and spoils off your job.

Do you do asphalt and concrete removal?

Yes. We load out and haul broken asphalt and concrete from site work to an NJDEP-approved Class B recycling center.

Can you deliver mason sand or Belgian block in bulk?

Yes. We pick up mason sand, other sands, and Belgian block from local suppliers and deliver it by the truckload to your job. Tell us the material and the amount on the form.

Do you haul for landscapers?

Yes. If you need topsoil, mulch, stone, or sand in large quantities, we do bulk material delivery across North Jersey straight from the supplier to your site.

Do you do topsoil delivery and stone delivery?

Yes. Topsoil, fill, DGA, QP, clean stone, and other aggregates, picked up at local quarries and suppliers and delivered by dump truck.

Can you deliver asphalt millings?

Yes. We haul millings and hot mix asphalt from local blacktop plants, and take millings off milling jobs.

Where does your concrete and asphalt go?

Concrete, asphalt, brick, and block are Class B recyclable materials in New Jersey. We take them to recycling centers that hold NJDEP approval to accept that material, or to other proper disposal. New Jersey rules say a recycling center needs the Department's written approval before it can take Class B material (N.J.A.C. 7:26A-3.1).

Do you do concrete recycling hauling?

Yes. We load out broken concrete, asphalt, brick, and block from site work and haul it to an NJDEP-approved Class B recycling center.

Can I get a truck for one day, or for a whole job?

Both. We do short hauls, single days, and multi-day jobsite support. Tell us the dates on the form and we'll tell you what we can cover.

Do you work nights and emergencies?

Yes. Night operations are part of what we haul for, and we have 24/7 emergency service. For an emergency, call 973-317-4157 right away instead of using the form.

I own a dump truck / trucking company. Can I work with you?

Yes. We're always looking to team up with other trucking companies and owner-operators. Call 973-317-4157 or fill out the form to get on our vendor list, so we can put you to work when our jobs need more trucks.

Can you supply extra trucks to other trucking companies?

Can you work as a trucking subcontractor on public works jobs?

Yes. We hold NJ Public Works Contractor Registration #753227 and are a New Jersey certified Small Business Enterprise, SBE #A0694-05, so we can be listed as a sub on public jobs that need SBE participation.

Do your drivers have CDLs?

Yes. Dump trucks like ours are heavy vehicles that call for a commercial driver's license. Under FMCSA rules, a Class B CDL covers a single vehicle rated 26,001 pounds or more, and a Class A covers combinations that are 26,001 pounds or more with a towed unit over 10,000 pounds.

Who hires you for trucking?

General contractors, construction companies, municipalities, site work, utility, paving, and milling contractors, masons, landscaping companies that need large quantities, property managers, winter property management companies, snow plow contractors, and homeowners.

Can you dig it and haul it too?

Yes. That's the advantage of hiring a contractor with its own trucks. We do excavating, demolition, and paving work and haul the material ourselves, so you are not chasing a separate trucking company.

How much does it cost to hire a dump truck?

It depends on the job: distance, material, how long you need the truck, and whether it's day or night work. We don't post rates. Send us the details on the form or call 973-317-4157 and we'll get back to you with a price.

What areas do you cover?

We're based in Little Falls and work all over North Jersey, including Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Morris, Sussex, and Hudson counties, plus jobs statewide.
